Tim’s Bio

Tim Buxton founded Knox Details in 2010, in his father’s garage. Tim had a passion for automobiles from a young age, and quickly became interested in the kinds of protective services that keep the best cars looking great.

As the industry grew, Tim also saw a need for better quality work and customer service. With a growing number of products and providers on the market, cutting corners and rush jobs can become common at some shops. 

Tim wanted to provide a place where car owners can get the best service and materials for their vehicles.

That passion for excellence is the foundation of Knox Details and the secret behind the many awards our services have won. “I love putting myself in our customers’ shoes and providing an incredible, all-around experience.” 

It’s also the reason that Tim always recommends that car owners visit a shop before trusting anyone with their vehicles. “When choosing a shop to work with,” he says, “it’s always a great idea to take some time to visit them, see examples of their work, and get a tour of their facility.”

Tim welcomes guests at Knox Details, because he values investing in long-term relationships.  Most customers at Knox Details become life-long clients, and rely on Tim and his crew to provide high quality products, services, and craftsmanship for all of their vehicles’ needs. 

When he’s not at the shop, Tim enjoys spending time with family and cycling.
